The wolf whirled around. And hit Rinty with a huge paw the size of a very large pine cone. Rinty flew and hit the stone wall of the cave. Willow, full of rage jumped and clamped his jaws right on the face of the wolf. The wolf reared up and snarled at Willow.
Holly and Scourge heard the ruckus. Holly looked at Scourge and told Pippin to help Scourge gather the puppies and get them to safety. "I've got to help them!" She dashed off.

Scourge sensed the nearby danger and mustered up some strength to move the puppies farther into the deserted den.
 
Nessa was conflicted. The wolf would kill her, she was sure. But how did he know her name? "WAIT!" Nessa screamed. The wolf, exhausted from the (how ever many :P) Dogs attacking him, was faltering. Nessa lept over her comrades and onto the wolf. "How did you know my name?" Nessa glared at him. The wolf grinned evilly. "I knew your beloved." Nessa gasped. "Where? Where did you see him? Tell me!" He replied- "Not long ago not far away. He told be about you as we were fighting- Never did give up, said he wanted to see you agian. Poor lad. He tasted good." The wolf chuckled and took his last breath. Nessa stared in unbelief. "NO! He isn't!" She screamed at the dead wolf. "NO!" She ran out of the cave. "I will find him!"

The scream that Nessa barked floated into the damp den. shivers went up scourges spine. unable to bear it any longer she tucked the pups farther in and then dashed in the direction of the scream. "NESSA! NESSA!" She barked as loud as she could. Cathcing the scent...she ran towards the cave. Only stopping a moment at the body of dead wolf. Diving into the cave after the group she barked more quitely now. "Nessa?" She barked.

Rinty laid, panting on the side of the cave. His breathing was shallow, and his breaths came in gulps. Willow licked his now blood red coat. "Scourge! Why are you here? You have to stay with the pups. Holly was just here, she went after Nessa." Willow padded over to Rinty he spoke quietly to him. "Rinty, Scourge is here." Rinty lifted his head, but it immediately fell back down again. "We need to get him home, he needs to be treated!" (Do we have a "Medicine dog?")
