No, you don't have to start there. When make a new charrie, I usually start off with them hunting, and then head back to camp and join the main action.

The she wolf snarled and dropped on her back, smothering Holly. Holly let out a muffled yelp, and Gyp growled he leaped for the she-wolfs throat but missed and latched on the her shoulder. Vanessa (the she-wolf) howled in pain. She got off of Holly, who lay there, a bit dazed, then ran to Pippin. She licked her little face, then turned and ran to get Ruby.
