"Of course." he smiled. Then it faded. "The pups, will they be okay?" his eyes danced with worry. Holly padded up to them. "I'll keep a close eye on them." she smiled. "Go enjoy yourselves."

Gyp panted heavily and walked into the forest. He smelled Check, and snarled. "Why in the world did he not help??" he growled to himself. "My mate was nearly killed!!" By now he was fuming in anger.

Gyp limped through the forest towards the creek. His wounds were still bleeding, and his paw throbbed. He reached the edge, and walked in. The flowing water cleansed his wounds, and his paw stopped throbbing. He sighed, and relaxed.
