I didn’t say they were aggressive towards people but you yourself did use the word aggressive.. you said here they have to act aggressive... maybe you didn’t mean aggression but did say it. Personally I think there is a difference between true aggression and a feisty attitude. I do get what you are saying, that they are feisty and have to stand up for themselves and all of that, and agree, but that’s not aggression I don’t think. They’re not seeking out dogs to attack or whatever.
Feisty attitude is just putting a different name to aggression. It's not any different. But I don't think that I want to discuss this any further because what I am saying is not being listened to instead it's just being reacted to.

I have worked with dogs pretty much all of my life and it is true about smaller dogs they have to make themselves look bigger towards bigger dogs...

That's your pack, they know your pack. See if a larger dog that they do not know comes on your property and see what they do...
Well I love my dogs! Zero issue in size or breeds. :thumbsup

okay nobody is listening to what I am saying I'm not saying that they're aggressive towards people or what not. They have to make themselves look bigger towards bigger dogs That's why little dogs bark a lot. That's why they have little dogs and big dogs usually separated at the dog parks because little dogs can intimidate or make a big dog see red because of their attitude.

I'll just stop talking because everything that I'm saying people are trying to make it out like I'm singing little dogs are aggressive. What I'm saying is not even getting through
I get cha!! Speaking in broad generalities....all that barking is what's called "distance making behavior"....its purpose is to get that big dog or scary person or whatever to move away!! Small dogs begin that at a greater distance than larger dogs who aren't as concerned about their safety.
Dog parks.....ugh!!! :tongue

I personally think it is different though. Dogs can be very feisty and sparky and stuff but not necessarily aggressive or reactive to other dogs.

But I’m sorry. Maybe I am misinterpreting it?

I consider aggression more so the dog that wants to lunge at/attack other dogs and stuff like that and not all dogs are like that, not even little dogs. But a feisty attitude and holding their own I think is different but ???

Awww! Totally understand the things your saying...:hugs
Don't go! Or get upset..:hmm

This makes a lot more sense! But I still don’t know that I’d necessarily call that aggression??

And yeah, we have had bad experiences at dog parks and don’t go anymore ha

I’m sorry if I was misinterpreting something or if it seemed like I was attacking or anything, wasn’t trying to. Was truly just tying to understand what you meant :hugs
