I am wondering if the splint may have caused the bone to heal improperly and thats why the leg is where it is now. Only you can make the decision on what is best for your duck, a vet would have been the best course of action right off but We all understand that isn't always feasible As far as humanely putting one to sleep Again a vet would have the means to do it.The splint has been OFF for almost 2 weeks! It was on for almost 2 weeks! I had no idea how long to leave it on (I asked and very few people responded), and the advice I got was to leave it on for 2 weeks, so that is what I did! She can not walk at all.....The leg that was hurt stays out from her body, she can't even put it under her body! When we put her in the bath tub, it is still out from her body but she can move it from the top part of her leg in the water... I don't want to euthanize her, and I haven't....but I don't know what to do if she doesn't heal up! When we put her on the floor she falls over if she tries to move! The one leg stays under her(but she can't stand on it alone) and the other leg is out from her body! I'm still putting her in water daily, but if she doesn't get better what other choice do I have?????
