My puppy (he’s BIG) got hold of one of my little pullets and was holding her in his mouth and “playing” with her. I don’t see any gashes or cuts but she almost sounds wheezy. Any advice??

Thank you so much!! I’ve got her in a separate enclosure by my duck and chick brooder so she’s in a warm area. Just gave her some of that mixture and keeping an eye on her. I did find out a nearby vet does see chickens so I may take her in if she seems worse. I really appreciate your response, thank you!!!First treat her for shock. She can die of shock even if she has no injuries. Mix one teaspoon of sugar into one cup of water with a pinch of salt and baking soda and give it to her as her only water for the next 24 hours. Keep her from getting chilled.
While she may not have any obvious wounds, she could have puncture wounds which are very dangerous due to high bacteria amounts in a dog's mouth. Search her over carefully. She would require an antibiotic if she has puncture wounds.
She could also have internal injuries. The lungs are especially vulnerable to being crushed by a dog having her in its mouth. Time will tell if she has anything seriously injured inside her body.
