dog immune to chocolate???

manage her. crate her/leash her when you have food down. Work on teaching "leave it" and don't leave food down when she is out. Not even your can of soda. Put it up and out of her reach until she is reliable with her training.

Is she getting into cabinets to steal the chocolate? If so, get child latches for them. If she is just sneaking it off the counter, then PUT IT AWAY. She isn't "stealing" it - you are leaving it right there for her to pick up.

Doesn't matter if its within her reach, like I said she an Australian cattle dog so if she gets the the slightest scent of food she wants she'll use her intelligence to get it, and it doesnt help she can jump up anywhere

and when I said she drank my Pepsi once she didn't like it, plus I have friends who sometimes give their dogs beer, not often but once I know of they did so shes fine on the Pepsi but ya I need to keep her from taking the chocolate, thanks for the replies, also she knows leave it and OK, but she chooses not to listen to me, man i REALLY need to work on my discipline, but ya thanks yall I'll work on my dogs teaching skills

Such a sad story

Our neighbor has a dog like that, not sick but he will ONLY eat table scraps, most annoying dachshund EVER, well I'll make sure she doesn't get chocolate, its mostly my moms fault since she thinks my digs immune grr gonna be mad if she die because of that.

Well all our dog crates are now chick coops, and she doesn't get in the fridge or cabinet (OK the fridge but she can't quite open it) but her main plan is when we cook she sits in the middle of the floor (we have a small kitchen) so we trip over her and she gets food, and she takes what ever is in her reach on the table or counter

Like allergies, dogs can become more sensitive to chocolate over time. That's why you hear about "it never hurt him before, but now he is dead" Your dog isn't building up a tolerance, he is building up to a threshold and possible permanent damage.

WOW wish it gave our dog gas. That would teach her, OR when she gives her chocolate give her stuff that makes her gassy and stick it in her room.... But ya I'll teach my mom since thats her main way to chocolate vill.

it takes years , but chocolate destroy their liver.......thats what i was told by a vet.
