dog immune to chocolate???

The effects are cumulative CochinBrahma. They add up over time. So your dog is probably shortening her life, maybe by quite a bit, by eating all that chocolate.

Sort of like an alcoholic - she is slowly destroying her liver.

My cousin has Blue Heeler, and while he is the absolute smartest dog in the world, he will NEVER steal any food off the counter or from anything/anyone even if he really wants it. In fact, you can plonk a tasty morsel of steak into his bowl, and he won't go eat it until you tell him 'release' and he'll go and gobble up his treat. Why? Extensive training since the day he came home as a puppy! Use your dog's intelligence and TRAIN HER, and make sure she knows you are in charge and won't take any BS from you. Challenge her, she needs it. Tire her out, too, long walks or runs.

OK but shes not my dog, shes my moms dog sorta, she only listens to her, well only follows her. LOL I need to discipline her, once I trained her all day long about shaking her paw. She acted like she couldn't but the next day if you told her shake she immediately knew how to

A pamphlet at our vet's warns that chocolate in excess of 24 oz can be poisonous to a dog. Now, most casually available chocolate does not come in that quantity, and the 24 oz. quantity seems high especially for small dogs. But, it would seem that the toxicity level is not as high as the warnings would have you believe. I knew of a couple who used to feed their dog Oreos as a treat. The dog was probably fat, but was OK with the chocolate. Was searching here for toxicity to chickens as my neighbor had an unexplained death in his flock and worried that he had given them chocolate chip pancake scraps.
