Hi yall,
I have 3 buff orpington birds, less than a year old. Yesterday a neighbor found a loose dog in my chicken coop, it broke into my yard and had one of my hens pinned down, may have bit another. He chased it off, and when I came home it had already been several hours. There's no blood, but Ruby now has a limp and a bit of a temper with her sisters. She's eating and drinking, but also started eating one of her own eggs (stress response?). So here are my questions:

- It's been 24 hours, if she's still moving, can get in the coop, eat, and drink will she be okay? Should I take her to a chicken vet?
- How do I dog proof my coop without digging a fence 2 feet underground? I am thinking of lining the run with cinderblock planters and maybe even putting in an electric fence.
