What a relief!!!! I was hoping that as I got through this thread that you'd say he came home!!! I'm so happy for you! I'm always nervous about our dog running out the door. He never comes back when we call him - he just goes. I was even thinking of getting him a doggie gps tracking collar.

...although with a road so close, I'd be nervous about him being hit by a car.

I'm glad the little booger came back! We have a Westie that decided to disappear last fall. She was gone for 3 days and my wife and I were worried sick about her. We looked and looked and finally decided that someone stole her. After three days we were out building one of our chicken runs and she came walking up like she had been gone for 5 minutes. She had a bad wound on her hip from what looked to be barbed wire. We took her to the vet and she had to stay over night for some treatment. She's now asleep on the couch and all is normal.
