I don't know what to do my mom can't talk she's at work, but I tihnk the dog ate soemthing he shuldn't have. He keeps making gagging noises, but not throwing up. I've tried sticking my finger down his throat, rubbing his throat, and letting him eat grass. Nothing is working. I need something fast. He can breath, but he needs to throw up.

Call your local vet. I think that you can induce vomiting by giving the dog a mix of water and hydrogen peroxide, but I am not sure on this.

You can give him hydrogen peroxide. It has to be fresh, or it might not work, so run and get an unopened bottle. Call a neighbor if you don't have any or need a ride to get some. I have used a turkey baster down the throat with success, but they really hate it so you have to be quick. Start with about a tablespoon and see how it goes. If no barf after 10 min, give another dose of 1 tablespoon. He will foam at the mouth and eventually the foam in his stomach will expand and become too large and cause the barfing. He might throw up a few foam piles after the item comes out, so don't let him in the house right away. Make sure he gets lots of water after the item comes out.

It's always good to keep an unopened bottle on hand, especially if you have a naughty dog! Good luck! If all else fails, call the vet.

Oh, just cat food? That's not too bad, until the gas starts up

I had a dog that used to eat EVERYTHING! Shoes, clothes, garbage, TV remotes, cell phones, window glazing, you name it. We learned about the peroxide trick quickly with that guy.

Yup, I was on the phone when he did it. She wasn't much help she just kept telling me to bring him in. It's kind of hard with no car or lisence, and both parents at work. I don't even know if the neighbors are home. Oh well.

I had a rescue dog named Chyenne. She was a little Red Heeler. Cute as anything, but the biggest troublemaker. She was previously starved and abused so she had that, "I'm always hungry" attitude. She was found chewing on a screw and several times it was thumb tacks. She ate rocks, whole sticks of butter, got into garbage (we had to put it in the pantry), who knows what else. And it's not like it was left out for her, she would jump up onto the counter or whatever she wanted, and got it.
