dog surprises officer after being freed from fence (video)

That was neat! My golden got stuck in the fence like that one time. Bout liked to freak me out. He got stuck between two fences that he could barely fit through and he snagged the inside of his back leg on the chain link. I was the only one home and all I could find was a rusty old pair of dikes! Somehow by the grace of God I was able to cut the chain link and I got the right piece on the first try. Poor guy was alright but a little sore!!

that is so cool--i'd like to know if the officer keep him if the owner isn't found-----

Several years ago while checking snares set for fox I found a large black shepherd/collie snared with the snare around his muzzle. I walked up to him slowly talking and as he got up it was evident that he was quite old. He stood there wagging his tail and allowed me to pet him. I eased the lock back on the snare and freed him. He shook himself, trotted off, lifted his leg on a bush and then stopped. He turned around, came back to me, sat in front of me and gave me his paw. A dog said thanks to me! The hair went up on the back of my neck at his actions and is doing so now again at the memory as I type this. Who says animals don't have feelings?
