I think of it differently to them choosing not to listen, its helped a lot with making progress in training, when I look for a reason and don’t accept they are just plain choosing not to listen. There is always a reason why!

adolescents sometimes means you need to take steps backwards in their training!

We have took a step back im re teaching him sit/ stay and come right now we can work on everything else after he learns those.

Dogs don’t generalize well so he might know it one place but not another because it’s too distracting. Keep practicing.

No squirrels. They all moved on since our trees fell down. We see one every few weeks but thats it.
I know outside its usually the birds but usally he will focus and do what i ask.
Inside its just me and him, no TV, no other people or animals.
