Yessss thisAussie are great as long you understand they can be pushy dominant dogs. They are bred to move sheep, and cattle and mostly think for themselves. So lots of forward behaviors, and sometimes questioning if you really know what you are talking about.
They can also become protective as the mature. Breed standard says they should be wary of strangers. They are great dogs. I think people get in trouble when they try to baby them. They need structure, and a purpose. Exercise needs seems to vary by breeding.
I'm still debating another one. They can take a few years to raise. Pepper is 4 years old now and her goofy is starting to come out, especially now that she's the only Aussie. Her bossy also is coming out, so it's definitely something I gotta keep in check by making he sit and wait.
That's been experiences with the breed. I'm on number 4. Do I need a number 5, or do I take the easy way out?

Also SUPER high strung and sensitive, “don’t hurt an Aussies feelings or they’ll hold a grudge” is what the breeder said when I got Aspen

People underestimate the difficulty of training a dog that will try to outsmart you.. I fully believe no amount of research will 100% prepare you for owning an Aussie lol, sometimes you just gotta dive in the deep end.
