Dog thread!🐾

Im very cautious of treats i feed the pups due to intolerances and ingredients i dont find okay.
Why are they adding sugar, cane sugar and molasses into dog treats is my question?
I was just trying to find some good treats and every other one has one of those ingredients.
Like the Zukes treats i use to feed those they now have cane sugar.

I understand that, but feeding that treat over and over to me isnt healthy
Are you feeding it over and over? Or just once in a while? Once in a while is fine. Unless maybe you’re using it all the time like for training purposes? Then maybe it could be bad. But even then, even treats without sugar could be bad in that case too cause too much of anything is bad.

Yes, so many unnecessary ingredients in most dog treats. That's why the only treats I buy are freeze-dried meat/liver.

Might as well list my favorite dog breeds by group too.
:D
I just went through the AKC website's list.

Herding:
Pembroke Welsh Corgi
Miniature American Shepherd
Australian Cattle Dog
German Shepherd

Hound:
Beagle
Greyhound
Whippet

Toy:
Italian Greyhound
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Pug

Non-sporting:
Boston Terrier
Poodle

Terrier:
Rat Terrier

Working:
Boxer
Doberman Pinscher

I didn't find any particular favorites from the sporting and misc groups. I could be missing a breed or two though...

Yes.
Thats all mine have had is freeze dried, air dried or homeade for awhile. I dont agree with half the ingredients in dog food/treats. I know thats my opinion though
