Whoa, glad she is okay!! I know exactly what that's like and how scary it is - had a very similar experience with Luna twice, except we didn't and still don't know what she had eaten. She had to stay overnight as well. Good to know about the black walnut shells! I believe my neighbor has black walnut trees and the squirrels bring the shells into our yard.We had to take Remy to the emergency vet last night because we didn't realize that she was eating black walnut shells off the ground until she started shaking and falling over. We got her to throw up and then took her to the vet and she had to stay overnight while they treated her for poisoning and monitored her. We got her back this morning and she fine but tired now. She was a hit with the vets though! They were all talking about how sweet she is and how whenever someone came in her tail would start wagging and she'd be so happy to see them!
Just noticed little Gypsy smelling all the vet smells. Her leg is naked nowView attachment 3741732
Willow is the same way! Both of our dogs are surprisingly tolerant of doggy clothes, even the rescue pit mix. I realize that's not very common!
Wow, that's even worse! It must have been so scary not knowing what caused it! Apparently the shells have a mold in them which is a neurotoxin to dogs.Whoa, glad she is okay!!
