Dog thread!🐾

Ceaser millian and American standard k9 abuse dogs  Sorry, there is no other way to put a lot of things they have done. Some of their advice is fine but a lot is dangerous and just plain abuse, sadly

McCann and modern malinois are good!

I do want to say I don't follow everything ANY dog trainer says, but almost all trainers have some bits of good advice so just because I watch and like some doesn't mean I follow them 100% there has been times with anyone I watch that I've been saying to myself "yeah I don't think that would work" or "that's not how I'd like to go about it"

American standard k9 can be kind of harsh sometimes, I don't love all his techniques but a few have really helped us.

One of the reasons I don't watch ceasar as much anymore is because he doesn't really help with what I need, he does more problem behavior stuff, especially aggression, and what I need help with doesn't really fall in his category. He did help with willows jumping though

I definitely dont follow everything American k9 does some of his training is way to harsh. But he has had some good vidoes helping with reactive dogs.
Tom davis also has had some good videos. I only watch videos about what i am trying to train and work on.

Unfortunately there is a difference in simple not liking the training style and dog abuse. Hitting a scared dog is not training. He has 0 understanding of dog behaviour and body language. correcting an aggressive dog is extremely dangerous advice, all you are doing is getting rid of all the signs before they bite. You can not change the underlying behavioural issues, you just make the dog a lot more dangerous

Standard k9 supports The dog daddy which by itself is enough
