That picture reminds me, I was gonna ask if ya'll put your dogs in shoes for the snow?

No shoes or coats here. If it gets below -10 I will limit their time outside. If I see feet lifting we go in.

3-4 feet. Some is from drifting. Probably had at least 2 feet give or take. That's how Wisconsin winters used to be. Buried in snow for months. Now you never know what we will get.

That makes sense. I think it would be too much for me if I had several dogs, but if I had just one I would probably do a coat at least, maybe some shoes. Especially for a dobie. Although your boxer has the same coat type a Dobie does (I think)

I've tried coats. They either fight until they remove it or another dog drags them around by their coat. I've come realize dogs don't feel the cold the same as we do. They are more comfortable being able to regulate their own temperature by raising and lowering their own coat of fur. They also have a higher body temperature. So no coats because the dogs don't want them.

The image I have in my head of that I understand!! People way too often put their own feelings on dogs.

I recently finally came to like the idea of the Doberman's coat The short coat was one of the main things I disliked about the breed. After this last rainy few days I realized I would hate having a dog like an Aussie in wet weather. It is going to be so nice to just wipe the mud off and get pretty much all of it off. It takes me like five minutes to wipe Chase's legs and tummy and scrub all the mud out of his paws. And his hair is not really that thick or long.

Wow!! I assumed it would have gotten a little colder there as well.

This is colder lol, it was high 80s last week

Yay!! That's great! Is he forceful when he sits? Sometimes chase slams into me so hard I need to potty
