Reactivity progress.

So last night we first walked by a dog specifically a beagle howling away. Tucker barked once i corrected he focused. My correction is just turning in a circle and saying focus. When he full on reacts i do have to pull him back from lunging. Then we walked by another 2 dogs(right after Tucker saw a rabbit) so he was already worked up(we are really working on that, his prey drive is so high) he didnt bark at first then the other dogs did. One bark again, quick correction. No actual reaction.
Then we were talking to a person and he didnt bark. This was big. Especially being within 10 ft of the person.
I was extremely happy, i know its not the end. But he is doing soo well.

We are visiting my family in Ohio and it has been really interesting to see Jäger interact with their smaller dog, Sable.
She tolerates him but she is spunky enough to not be overwhelmed by his huge paws and puppy energy. It's a constant, quiet and gentle dominance battle and occasional play. They seem to work fairly well together.
Jäger tried to chase some of the free ranging chickens the other day, and Sable charged right up to tell him to quit it, haha. She just put herself between him and the chicken he was after, and nibbled at his ear. He stopped.
Another interaction, or rather lack thereof, that I am super proud of is that I was trying to get him out of the door to go potty in an organized fashion
Sable came around and tried to instigate play. It took a minute to get his attention and settle him, but I got him to sit and wait, while Sable was right in front of him bowing and batting. He didn't go play until I gave him his release, and I was impressed!
Now I feel like he is a very persistently foolish puppy in terms of listening to dominance, but he's been proving me wrong. Sable caught another rabbit today, and was guarding it. He got close and didn't know. She got nasty with her voice, and he flopped on the ground immediately. I was worried for a moment, her Pit was coming out. But she is sensible and didn't give anything more than she found necessary. I honestly thought their meeting wasn't going to go well, but it's a lot better than I expected.
It gives me hope for establishing better dominance with him. I could learn some lessons from Sable! She has helped me to notice ways that Jäger listens a bit better. It's been interesting.

Finally got the jumps out after moving. I started with just the wings and no jumps yesterday. Then did jumps today. Denver has no interest in doing them. Ill have to figure out why.
But Tucker took right back off.

We introduced him to water today! We are in the UP and he got to meet Lake Superior. At first he was a little skittish around the waves, but THEN he realized they were fun, and started chasing and "eating" them! It was great. He loved the sand, too. I wasn't sure what he'd think of it, but he loved it and it was great to see.
