Dog thread!🐾

Pepper is 5 and she still gets crated or she will chew up stuff. Some just can't handle being let out. My boxer was crated until 8 years.
Yeah I definitely get that! When I get my Doberman he probably won’t be allowed out unsupervised for a LONG time. It just isn’t worth the risk for me. The only reason I’d even consider it is if I’d be gone for a super long time and couldn’t take him.

Oh no. I bet that made a mess. Well he’s only a year so he has plenty of time!šŸ˜† pretty sure I’ve said this before but Chase didn’t calm down until he was 2.5-3. And with Oakley being a dobie mix (no arguments people) I’m sure it will take that long at least. …Probably not helping am I?
Yeah probably, he's gotten better with being out in public not barking at people though which is goid. He just botheres sleepy head aka willow all day lol

If I had to be gone longer than a few hours I'd probably put in some smaller kennels with fence panels in my basement to give them more room. My friend did that for hers, and they were together in a 5x5 area and were more comfortable.

Pepper is a kook and loves going in her crate because she gets peanut butter on a rawhide. I can't even give her any bedding because she tears it up. Good thing she's fluffy both ways, coat and a bit fat, and does okay with the bare floor. Most of mine have separation anxiety to some degree because I hardly ever go anywhere.

That’s a good idea! Some place like a basement is great (assuming it is like what I have, with concrete walls and floors)

Speaking of my Doberman (goodness I have so much to tell yall) I think I’ve picked my favorite breeder! I’ll have about five on my list and pick between individual litters as it gets closer.

They focus on high quality working lines!

My second favorite: (also working line of course)

Both are in Ohio
The first one has several dog that have titled in PSA as well as Schutzhund (or IGP if you call it that😜)

I'm always surprised by how many people don't have basements. Here in Wisconsin it's a necessity if you don't want your pipes freezing in winter.
