This is an example. It is usually a lot worse (I didn’t start filming until much later in the session) but it kinda showsI can here with a purpose and then found out I was missing out
But anyways… any ideas for quieting excited/involuntary barking during training without loosing drive? As I have said before I have struggled SO much with Chase enjoying training because I pushed him too hard when he was a puppy. He has finally come to enjoy training and it makes me so happy. But it has gotten to the point where that he gets so overly excited during training won’t shut up for a long time. I know I could get him to stop but I’m afraid I’ll damage that happy feeling I’ve worked so hard to get.
Im so glad he is doing better!!I never posted these
I finally got his food switched over and he's booked into the vet for his needles in a few weeks so I'm trying to see how much weight he can put on from now to then. I even think I've noticed gain since I took these pics. I fully intend to be SUPER prepared for this appointment. Going to get a bunch of info the vet wanted me to (vital signs when he's "calm" at home) and we'll redo his bloodwork if the vet thinks we should.
The Kong Wobbler had been the answer to his dry food over-eagerness at least. He figured it out faster than I expected honestly.

Yeah i can try that!Sqwaukers for Chases barking. Tucker really struggled and still sometimes does with demand barking. What helped was i would turn away, whrn he would stop i praised him.
He has a command to stop barking but it isn’t just that so I was kind of worried he would think he would have to stop everything. Especially if it falls in the more involuntary barking and he doesn’t really realize how much he is or that he is barking. It’s the same command I use for his reactivity and it pretty much always works. I can try it again and pay more attention to how he reacts to it. I just haven’t tried much to stop it at this point. But i also taught him a command for barking/being quiet during this time. It doesnt work when he is reacting. But it does work when training/playing and he is demand barking.
I'm not sure, but I think it is on all the time (did you mean is it *not* on all the time?). My mom mentioned having woken up to her trying to get it off previously, and I've seen pictures of her with it on in her crate. Is the cone on all the time?
The hair loss could be from her chewing/licking her leg if so. Had this issue with Denver a couple weeks ago. She is so itchy right now due to season change. But mushroom supplements + coconut oil help.
If the cone is on all the time im not 100% sure why. Unless its a allergic reaction
