Dog thread!🐾

Our last dog had issues I think around like 4-5 years old. I think he tore something or else sprained it and then he got better but then worse again. He later died at like 6 1/2 from suspected MMM, an autoimmune disease. But we also neutered him WAY too early, at like 3 or 4 months old, I think 4 months, because he was humping everything and our vet at the time said he was plenty big enough. Which, technically he was, considering he was a Pyrenees mix, but still. I regret it every day even though it wasn’t really my decision then as he was a family dog. But I think it caused A LOT if not all of his problems. That and being BYB. My family regrets it too I’m pretty sure. That’s a huge reason why with Brewster I waited until he was over 2 years old. That and the fact that I had done a lot more research in between then and now and Brewster is actually MY dog so I got to decide. LOL but that way, he was done growing and, hopefully, won’t have the same issues. Even though he’s a lot smaller LOL but still. I think it helped. Even though the new vet recommended 6 months due to his breeds. I chose to WAIT and they were okay with that thankfully. LOL
I feel you. Mistakes we made with our dogs (and other animals) haunt me. But I try to stay positive and think of it as a learning experience that makes me a better pet parent.

The notifications for this thread just don't seem to like me! XD Jager managed to break his cable (pretty sure on accident) on Friday, so we got him a new one. It was five feet longer, so... we have another plank of house siding to repair. 😅 We adjusted it to effectively be the same length as the old one, though.
I was talking about feeling balanced enough to go play some fetch with him the following day, but I woke up and *bam* belly growth spurt and I no longer felt safe enough. 😂 Maybe tomorrow? The windows between spurts are so small. They aren't huge, but it's enough to throw me off balance a bit, and he has such a horrible habit of jumping and ramming into your legs when getting pet. He's a lot bigger than he realizes, and I am weak at the moment.

Tucker had a really good experience earlier and then a horrible one just about 40 minutes ago.
So the good is he met a new person and loved her.
Bad experience i wanted to take him to the park we havent went in a bit and regular walks arent enough. Plus it was beautiful out. Well we went a different way. I knew of some dogs who were offleash in that area. But they do listen when you say stay. At first they werent a issues. They didnt leave their yard. It was another dog who started running at us and i had started to run to get away. Well Tucker got under my feet(we havr ran before and he never has done that before) well i stepped on his foot and it got torn open. I feel so bad he yelped badly but at first i didnt see anything. He was running around once we got to the park. But he tried chewing at it as soon as we got home. It isnt deep (just the fur basically )and luckily stopped bleeding he didnt loose much. But he doesnt appreciate the wrapping on his foot now.

The picture wont upload so ill get a different one tomorrow

Oh my goodness I’m so so sorry that is awful!!!! Hopefully he doesn’t link that to dogs😕

Its swollen this morning so looks worse. The vet said just to keep it clean. And prevent him from licking it. And if its bothering him to much they will prescribe something for him.
