Well, kinda? I was an idiot when he was younger and tried to get everyone to pet him thinking he would get better. So I did encourage it for a long time. Then I realized how risky that was and that it was actually making it worse. Now he is just indifferent to people. They sometimes try to talk to him but he ignores them. He just doesn’t really like strangers and doesn’t want them to mess with him. Though sometimes he likes them so guess it depends on the person. So I don’t think I really trained it, but now I expect him to ignore people so I guessDidn’t you teach him that though? Or no? And true! A widdle squirrel snack…![]()
Exactly him LOL
Laughing at how awful that isRe: Loose dogs.
We've only had to deal with one unwanted loose dog with Jäger. A tiny, yapping rat dog. We call him the Mexican Rat Dog because his family down the street is Mexican, and I'm not sure he knows English.Anyways, Jäger has made a couple of sounds at him (we've run into him once or twice having been somehow let out the front door/garage and running free in the neighborhood while on a walk), but we just make him sit and the other dog just barks and barks (he's not physically aggressive). Either we can walk by, or the dog's family comes out to start chasing him.
It's getting ridiculous. I've about called animal control. This dog gets out every few weeks and ends up in our yard, several hundred feet from home, and IN the intersection. "Rah rah rah yap yap yap" at NOTHING, all the time. Last time, he walked right into the road and watched as a truck nearly hit him. Then casually walked away. His family can't catch him, he just runs away into other people's yards barking and barking and barking... I suspect that someone may have actually called animal control, because I've seen them in our subdivision a couple of times now.
Oh wow that makes sense lolWell, kinda? I was an idiot when he was younger and tried to get everyone to pet him thinking he would get better. So I did encourage it for a long time. Widdle squirrel snacks are the best! How could you deprive him of that???![]()
When we visited my family in May, Sable kept trying to give a rabbit skull to Jäger... With the brain still inside...Oh wow that makes sense lol
And he can get one in our yard if he can catch one (never gonna happen)![]()
