Told ya!I see golden in his face!
The other day I got the news that the first pyr I met, the one that made me fall in love with the breed, passed awayhe was 15, quite old for a pyr. He was the sweetest dog ever, wouldn't hurt a fly but always protected his home. So gentle. Once, his owners ducks went across the street to the creek, he went and picked them up and brought them back one by one. Another time one of her caged birds got loose, she thought it'd be gone forever, but a few days later he came to her with it gently held in his mouth, still alive. I knew him quite a few years, any time we were in Tennessee he was the first to greet us and stayed up on our property most of the day. It's gonna be lonely up there without him, I wish I'd gotten up there to see him this year. Last I saw him was in December.
RIP my sweet boy, I hope you are running pain free and like a young man now![]()
Im sorry. We also sadly found out this week that my neighbors Bernese mountain dog, who's only 6, has cancer that's unfortunately spread to multiple parts of her body. It's a sad week. All the more reminders to appreciate them now
