Thatās hystericalI thought he was dead for a moment.Nope, just sleeping. He was playing tug with the cable, that's why it's in his mouth.View attachment 4241655
He does sleep in it very comfortably, you can only tell he's running out of space when he sits or stands.Well, I'm going to need some suggestions. He's only 10.5 months old, and in an XXL crate. This crate is 48" L x 30" W x 32" H, and as you can see he is going to outgrow it. He does have to be crated, can't be loose in the house yet. The only crate I've found is the $250 Midwest Pet 54" L crate, but surely there are additional options? There's also the matter of that particular location not being able to really fit a bigger crate. We'd hope to put him in the basement, but he's afraid of the stairs. Garage, maybe? Except it gets very cold here overnight.View attachment 4241847

Maybe take some boards and still use the crate just take it apart and mount it to the boards but you can make it taller. I can post photos later of ideas. We had planned on doing this for Denver because she preferred to sleep under the tv stand and the stand in between two chairs. She still sleeps under the tv stand. we did build both stands. And we had something similar made for the top of her kennel.
Like, remove the top panel and extend the height using a wooden frame?Maybe take some boards and still use the crate just take it apart and mount it to the boards but you can make it taller. Oh okay, I see! That's definitely a nice looking setup. He is a chewer, so, might be better for him for us to just shell out the $250.yeah you could just take the top of and extend it. If he would chew on the wood that wouldnt be good though
Here is a idea of what we did. it just goes over the kennel. But you could take the top off and make it so that its taller.
