Satchets chased off a hawk from attacking our flock!!! My heart is still racing! I was so afraid it had gotten one of them! The rooster with the flock had them hiding in the coop and our free ranger rooster was calling like crazy and guarding their fence/gate area! I saw satchets run after something and it flew into the air. In the moment I thought she had a chicken! She has never hurt any of our chickens just chased them a bit. I should have known it wasn't a chicken as high as it flew away from her! I'm so thankful and grateful none of them are hurt. We are going to check them over in a little while after it's dark and they are roosting to make sure!
