Dog was running with my hen in its mouth.

Pictures can be helpful. Glad that she is eating some.

This is where she stays. Doesn't come out of the box at all.

This is the chunk missing next to her tail.

I swear I clean this. It just looks ugly.

I would put an old towel under her. The pine shavings would seem likely to poke her.

I am very sorry for her.

I put some toilet paper under her so it's also easy clean up.

Here is the pictures I took last night after her third bath in 3 days.

Everything is red and swollen looking however it doesn't feel warm to the touch so hopefully no infection. Also haven't seen the dog again.... Or the owner for that matter she owes me some money.

Keep her wounds covered with plain Neosporin or Vetericyn. She will start healing soon, but just keep her vent clean. An Epsom salts soak once a day for 15-20 minutes would probably be very good, but dry her with a hairdryer well afterward.

I've been letting her air dry. Don't want it to dry out and crack. I'm keeping it covered with neo.

If her vent was damaged, it would be a problem, but her vent looks good. Her feathers should grow back in eventually. I worry that she won’t be accepted by her flock being gone too long. That happens when they are separated for more than a few days or after an injury. If she could spend time with them in the safety of a wire dog crate (with food and water) so they can see her, that might help.
