Dog was running with my hen in its mouth.

They free range so that might be pointless. I also have some 1 month old pullets that I could put her with in the outside brooder who might accept her more willingly. I need to get them out asap I have guinea keets on the way and turkey poults coming in about a month.

She's looking better today. Still in her box. Not moving around any still. Things in the back still look bad but things aren't so red and swollen. New thing though it looks like the floor is covered in dandruff. Any idea what this is?

Here's a picture from today.

Is she preening new feather growth?
I don't think but honestly I'm leaving her alone and only check on her a couple times a day. I think in a few days I'll put her out in the outside brooder with the pullets. Hopefully they don't peck at her or she doesn't get fly strike.

Hello all the hen has been back with the flock for a couple weeks now doing great and grown new feathers. All my hens are starting to lay right now. So I went out this morning and fed and released them to range like always and found a blood covered egg on the ground first thought, Georgia, the hen that got attacked has started laying and something happened on exit . I went out just a little while ago to check them and saw her. She's walking and acting fine but I noticed a red bulge next to our coming out of her vent. I tried to catch her but to no avail. Should I just keep an eye on her and if she stays healthy and doesn't appear to get an infection or fly strike just let it be or what?

I would bring her into a crate tonight as she enters the coop and onto the roost, and check inside her vent for a stuck egg. She could have a hernia in her abdominal wall as well. Please take a picture of her vent.
