Doggy sitting.~Yahoo Sitebuilder?~

Hi again, what software have you got on your puter to build the page?
I can zap you through some graphics but you still need to make up the page as a blank project the same as our BYC personal page so we can paste the graphics onto something otherwise just save these to file as html.
Pls pm me so we can organise this.

If you are a kid, I sure agree with Terri, NEVER go into someone's house with a male adult (although females can be predators as well, but typically the males are the rapists...no offense intended to our male forum members..I only refer to perverts with no impulse control)..but anyway, please be very careful and not so trusting. Good luck on your business. I would also second the myspace idea, that way your friends could refer you to their parents. Darlene

Very good advice Darlene,
Im not sure what type of community silkeluvr lives in but its always good to be wary.
I know some younger petsitters here who have their parents go with them on the job.
They are also insured through the parents.
Remember this may not be possible for your dad, so maybe think of this too.
I dont know what to say except what I see is a smart young lady who has the world at her feet and who has a wonderful entrepeneural spirit which will take her far in life.
Hon , i am the worst foot in mouth offender that i know and the more i think about you going to other houses, the more nervous I am becoming.
Im just saying start small, and dont take too much on. You still have your studies as well.

Of I have stated just befor how careful I will be.
Jus as much as all as you I am scared of offenders.
As far as banners come I think I have one. I just need to
figure out if I can use yahho sitebuilder with mine, I would ask ZuniBee
but it doesn't look like ZuniBee's not on.

Heya!

I've actually been petsitting for 6 years now, almost 7.. (since I was 10). I ALWAYS take someone with me! Wether it's my older brother, Dad, Mom, Aunt, etc... I would never go into a job alone.

I always meet the people I'm petsitting for BEFORE I start a job.. I haven't really stayed on top of this topic.. but, I'm sure you've already gone over that.

I think it's great that you're starting to do this! Just make sure you have insurance... there are some weird people in the world who can try and sue you for their dog peeing on their carpet.. lol.. Just be careful and always keep a watchful eye.

I also have a sales policy that goes over all insurance/ liability type things and the customer must sign and agree before I start the Job.

I always take the money before hand too.. I've been stiffed quite a few times and I don't want that to happen to you.

Just be safe and careful!! Esp. with dogs, you don't only have to be worried about the people.

Best of luck to you!!

Thats a good idea with the policy, think you can send it to me?
Because knowing me if I typed up a policy I would miss or
leave out a couple things, and also how much do you charge
by the hour.

Ok, go to this site
http://www.petsit.com/search/index.php
Petsitters international are over there, they pay bulk insurance which means it costs less for you.
They also have wonderful hints and product help with letterbox signs etc.
At least its worth having a look at the site as there are comments on there by other petsitters.
I started by business 12 years ago and they were my first point of call.
An excellent site for info.
BTW ill get these graphics to you shortly, ive been building an aviary for my magpie yesterday and didnt get online till late at night.
Here is a post by grayRoo for when i was searching for images:

... rarely do owners want you there for a whole hour. I usually stay about 25 mins.. which gives me enough time to do anything I need to - including extra things the owner wants done. I charge $15 per visit (I worked up to that amount.. I started at $5 per visit.. which is probably what you'll have to do). If the owner does want me there for an hour, which would be a very rare case.. I charge $23 per hour.

Bantymum gave you an awesome link!!! I use that place all the time and next year I'm going to be getting certified through them! =]
