Mojo Chick'n :

Been there, more than once - I can sympathize.

I use the peroxide/baking soda/dish detergent, also. There is always that lingering waft of skunk, though....

If you use this formula and you take an old rag and dunk it in the stuff, rub the dogs down, and let it sit for 5 minutes (make sure you go the whole 5 minutes) there shouldn't be much of a lingering smell. Then just throw that rag away. I've done this several times and it really works. The last time the very skunk got in the dog house and wouldn't come out so we shot it in the dog house. Good thing it was warm weather season; the dogs didn't enter that dog house for a month.

I swear to GOD tomatoe Juice works as well as PURE cranberry juice (no added apple juice or grapes, just plain cranberry). Bathe them in it. Many people think it's an old wives tales but it's not. My mom used it on me and my brother, plus the dog when we got SKUNKED before.

A vet told a friend of my son's that vinegar douche is one of the best things to use to get rid of the smell. what is Dr. Bonner's peppermint soap, and where do you get it?

I took my dogs camping once and five minutes later, opne of them chased a big skunk. He was covered in it..

My advice to get rid of the stank???

WHITE VINEGAR....

worked like magic for me!!!
