Dogs killed all 6 of our chickens.

Tractor Supply is where we buy most of our goods from. do you happen to know the model name or anything of the fencing/charger you went with?
Yes, we did their brand, American Farmworks, the 5 mile solar one. I think they also have Zareba there. We needed solar because we don't have electric there yet. It was very easy to set up, just needed all the parts (charger, insulators, wire, grounding wire, grounding pole, and clamp for the ground wire to the pole). Then charge it in the sun for 3 days. Very happy with ours so far. Tried to upload a video with the bear but it wasn't a valid format for this site, so here's a link.

Outstanding! That is the kind of response you like to see with an electric fence. With nothing like that to stop them, they are free to start tearing into stuff and ripping doors off, etc. Same with dogs and others. But that kind of fence changes everything in your favor. A fence or coop that bites back!!!!

Looks like it works like a charm!!! How many hot wires do you have running around your coop?

I have three. One around 6" up for smaller predators and ones that will sniff downward first or dig, one 1.5' up that the bear sniffed, and one about 3' up in case a bear stood and pushed. I may have to disconnect the bottom in the winter depending on snow, but for now 3.
