Am I right that you're only giving them scratch, corn, and mealworms? They need a complete feed, those are all treats and should make up 10% or less of their diet. Probably they'll lay a lot more eggs if you give them proper food.

If your roo is that rough on the hens, he shouldn't be bred. That sort of behavior can be genetic.
