He leveled it right before dark while I was polying the plywood floor.. water based. I should have called the guy on CL he has lots of those large aluminum baking sheets.... nice to use under their feed dishes . plus maybe can use them for poo trays......side by side. with cardboard during the cold spells
Cause Hubby is going to "city" tomorrow for a party and will also shop for stuff ,cant get here in this smaller town.. He gets a short break from chicken morning rounds.....

Hubby made the roost yesterday a freestanding one. Kind of long.. used a tree branch like Beekissed said.. Correct?
. presently using 2 by 4 flat for the two coops roosts.......
Only about 16 inches high. Cause I read that on "Sally Sunshine saloon look coop "story.. But i reread that part about roost again and I believe it meant roosts for nestboxes.. So Hubby adds legs to bottom.Making it 24 inches high... It looked tall inside the coop. So he is going to make the slot that hold the trre limb roost deeper to make the roost kind of adjustabl height.

Sunday he did the chute and pet door.....that goes into the run.. Hole already cut in the cattle panel and hdwe. cloth...
Read on here and saw where one member did "stumps" instead of a "ladder." ....WE have a few but crooked or most cut up already.... Be nie to get some cedar various heith stums...
Today before dark he cut in one of the sliding Rv window on the left side of coop . It one of the 48 long windows horizontally long...that is....
also he drilled a hole into top and ran a rope.... a rope to pull outside to open the dog door aska chicken door...
I have 15 ribs on the corrugated roof to put in alum screen rolled into, on each side of the roof... Cause a weasel could get in otherwise.correct? thru a roof rib...
Bought one covered kitty litter box .s far,for nest box not sure if they will like

Took the flap off door...
so if works out prob buy another one. Found a used one at a peddler mall but did not buy it, at that time.... Went back later and it was gone....
Still no door lock hasp on people door, just lousy door knob that wont latch correctly..Hubby says he bought several at" Habitat Restore" place while back. But he cant find them . Duh
I bought" Sikaflex" sealant , to go around outside of windows. He said "dont need". "butyl tape good enough"
I said I bought the tubes sealant" so we use....Heck I bought 3 tubes.....he has used over 2 rolls of Butyl tape so far under the lip of windows when installing...
I know... I know ...should have taken lot more pics as things were progressing... What so crazy is that I carry on a belt ...my small little camera in a case>>>> Duh.. But it was hard trying to take pics in a garage.....

I find it very difficult to read and understand all your text...
....so I'll focus on this one question and pic.

I'd suggest removing the boards with holes from the eaves and replace them with 1/2" hardware cloth.

The continuous ridge vent should work well.

You'll know if you have too much humidity / not enough ventilation if condensation forms on the underside of the metal roof.

You could easily add a gable vent to one or both ends if you find you need more ventilation.

ETA: Oh, and, I'd pay serious attention to Meep Beeps post about the length of your trailer tongue...unless you have an adequately long hitch extension on your tow vehicle.

inside before portable roost and the girls living in.to right saw dust etc before cloeaning up fter 48 inch window install. to the right the old "pet door" recycled. yeah know window not centered... not foing to redo. Martha Stewart I am not.LOl just tilt your head. the lay of the land is downhill mostly anyway

Last week 48 slider window installed. wanna put more windows on this side. The study cavity on right and left less than the remainder of the 48 inch windows. will prob put one of the 48 inch windows below this one.....

the chute has hdwe cloth on this side and lexan type piece over roof of chute. Oh the panel i piano hinged on bottom so can clena it out etc. I am truly blessed with a wonderful Husband..

That is quite the coop coming together. Being an ex trucker, I might have some similar concerns as others about weight, axle placement and such.
Somehow it looks a bit precarious to me.

When it's finished, you might want to find a truck stop somewhere with scales. For about $5 you can weigh your trailer, and the weight on the rear of your truck.

me, too. but Hubby not concerned. I doubt seriously if it ever goes anywhere..
now if I can figure out how to get that kitty box aka nest box viable for them.Prob will buy another
Also .. still having to catch several or carry them from older coop and push them gently thru the chute. been putting a flashlight in the new coop.
ONE of the young chicken girls, last two days has been going in on her own have been kind of tricking them and closing the old run's gate.
They prob luv it cause its over three times as big and twice as tall as the tractor coop...
soon as another window is installed on the chute side.. All of them will be able to see out that side of the coop
Also still thinking about going back to a 2 by 4 roost....that branch looks uncomfortable...
The older girls and Roo are still in the first coop., so far... But are only feet apart....
ordered some big 18 by 26 aluminum baking sheet pan to hold the poo trays. will put PDZ in them.
Put down some cut up pcs. of the big garage floor rubber mat ,we had at the house we moved from,. over the plywood floor
