Since it was after noon, tomorrow will be Day One and I'll move them to the hatcher on New Year's Eve. I'm going to swing by Kate's (helmstead) on the way home from a family dinner on Sunday and pick up a few eggs from her Barred Rock flock as well to pop in with mine since I already have two of her girls in my flock and I love them!

Today's batch includes Blue Orpingtons, Barred Rocks (for fertility re-test) Blue Orp/Lt Brahma (retesting Miranda to see if her chicks will grow now) and since everybody seems to have no trouble hatching Suede/Caroline babies and they're popping up all over the country now, thought I'd pop in 3 of hers, too, so Blue Orp/Buff Brahma as well. Thats 14 in the bator and if Skye lays today, I'll add hers to the mix. I may even add a few more Blue Orps on Sunday when I add Kate's Barred Rocks to the bator. Gotta take advantage of not having to ship any of them out while I can and now's the only time I have to do that.

I love it! We hatch-a-holics have to stick together. Oh Cyn, I candle tonight, Day 14. I cant believe it, the time has passed so quickly. I have to get photos of my suede girls. They are huge and oh so cute!

Its great to see you to. I miss chatting with you and all the other people on the original BYC forum. Next year I hope I can try some of your hatching eggs.

Yeah, if they hatch on the 31st of December that is mine and my DH anniversary. We were married on Dec 31, 1999. THE MILLENIUM!!!! Gosh, it's going to be 8 years, holy cow. Anyway, good luck with your hatch. I love it when you hatch little chookies. You know, I have to live through you since I haven't and don't have the confidence to do it. Maybe in the Spring.

If I were you, I'd never be able to keep from gathering up every single egg I can find, putting them in my 'bator, then rubbing my hands in glee!

You are sooo lucky

Can't wait to see them hatch!

I admit, Debbie, I have to resist! I have to pick and choose, according to the room I have in the various coops. The only one I have lots of space left in is the Blue Orpington coop. Studly Suede needs some more smoky blue lovelies to keep him warm, don't you think?
