Out of our 6 different breeds of chickens...the BO is by far the sweetest one. She'll calmly sit in my lap for over an hour, and usually falls asleep while I pet her. I love her to pieces, and wish I had gotten another BO. I'm one past my limit of 6 chickens, so I'll have to wait until later to get more buffs. Congrats on finding more!

Chicken math is when either happens, you lose one and end up replacing that one with many or you have a few and think they are so cute you have to get more. Like im a perfect example. I started out with 4, then 8 lost one, replaced with 2 more, then had to get some more cause i wanted some broodies, so i got 8 more and i lost 3 of those with a streak of bad luck and then got 2 silkies when i found them, and then had to get rid of my roosters so then i replaced them with another rooster and soon to have babies.

How do you get them to sit in your lap for an hour. They will hang out with me for a little bit but are easily distracted and have better things to do like run after bugs

I have 12 BO chicks in my brooder right now along with 12 other assorted chicks. Glad to hear they are so sweet these are my first chickens and I'm all in with 24!!
