Heres how i do it, 4'by4' dome pen... make a 4' by 4', 2"X4" wood square frame for the bottom nail together, dont forget to subtract 3'' from, 2 of the boards to make a perfect square 4'. then Cut 10' of 4'tall 2"X4" 12gauge weled wire for the dome, that will give you a height of 4'. 12gauge is also study and makes a self supporting frame... Use simpsom strong ties plates to secure wire on outside of wood frame or just staple with long staples, or/and put a 1''by2'' over wire and sandwich wire to the wood frame... then cut 2 4' pieces of welded wire for the front and back... also keep wire off the ground a inch and 1/2. to prevent premature rust...
