It's about 1/2 a football field size with a seasonal creek running in it. Once the seasonal creek dries up then we open the culvert to the creek that runs all year to keep it full.

Avian influenza is transmitted from wild waterfowl "primarily Canada Geese". I would not let any of my geese near wild ones. And you should be sure to wash, scrub, and sanitize your footwear of you've been in an area where wild waterfowl have been.

Thank you. I’m not going to take the goslings to the pond this summer. I’m hoping in the fall after the geese leave and their older we can make the trip. Do you know how long Avian influenza stays in an area once the geese leave?
