Dominique Bantam - Boy or Girl?

After a SR of Sussex turned into 7 males and 3 females I decided to order sexed chicks from Cackle Hatchery. I ordered five, they sent six, all healthy.

They're almost 5 weeks old, and I am wondering if I have one, or even two male chicks. Care to help?

Two of the chicks have lighter plumage than the others, one has two leg rings (purple & yellow) and the other has a single purple leg ring.

Yeah, they both look like boys to me, too. I would give it another week or so before you hang your hat on it, though.

That's why I bought sexed all female chicks...

I have had good luck with craigslist, and also the neighborhood forum that we have up here in Vermont. Some kind woman even paid me for a rooster on there.

Since they are purebred roosters there is a good chance someone will want them for their flock.

I found a farm animal rescue that will take all the cockerels I want to give!

They're a four hour drive away, though.
