I have two related-by-blood hens from a breeder, named Salt and Pepper. Salt is on the left in both photos.
They started laying at about the same time. (They’re 1.5 years old) Their eggs were a similar size but now that they’ve gotten bigger…
Salt’s eggs are tiiiiiiiny. Pepper’s are large.
Salt has never been at 100%. She has a faulty crop. She’s always had issues with it- I believe it is deformed.
Is she conserving energy by laying teeny little eggs? What’s up with this?
