Here is a website that has some photos to help you determine sex.

With the wing feathers already coming in, some should clearly be darker than others. Darker = female.
Are they pure Dominique?
Yes, they are from Heritage Dominique eggs I got from MPC.
I tried when they hatched and thought i jad more girls than boys. Now two weeks later i think most are boys. Were you able to sex them with help of the photos on that link?
Where did you get yours from?Humpf.
My chicks have always been mostly good... Clearly dark or clearly light.
Supposedly though, some lines are much easier to sex than others.
Does the breeder on CO have a web page?Cackle and a breeder in Colorado.
I can't find his web page or a facebook page... He is still part of the Dominique club, but it looks like he maybe isn't selling anymore.
Maybe you could ask on the Facebook Dominique page?
Actually... The ones from cackle aren't that bad, especially if you get a big bunch, and cull hard.
If all else fails, I may take you up on that...Thanks again.
I have Chantecler and Dark Cornish (LF) and I want to incorporate the Dominiques into a strain of White Chanties/DC/Doms for meat birds...We caponize and poulardize for exquisite flavor and to be able to keep the birds 'on the hoof' so they can continue to get more flavorful without sitting in a freezer. If it comes to it...perhaps I can trade you a White Chanteclere or some combination of birds, depending upon what you have to offer...Or cash will work.
