Dominique Thread!

"nobody else appreciates his hard work in the nest box."

Yes, Our 1st roo was like that. He was the only male & perhaps he felt left out. He would hop into the nestbox, make some grunting noises, jump out, then strut around singing the egg song. I swear he was trying to convince me that he laid the golf balls we kept in there. He also joined in with the hens.

Hi! May I join?

Here is one of my Doms, Charlie (this picture was take about 4 weeks ago, so he's a lot bigger now!) He is a sweetheart, and loves to be held. He is around 15-16 weeks.

Here is Linus, he, once again, is too a lot bigger now. He is more of a wild cockerel, I can hold him but his hormones are starting to kick in

@RodNTN -- I hope Linus turns out ok too. It's so hard to re-home or cull a chicken you're attached to. I have 3 little month-and-a-half-old Dom pullets and one is so hyper and am working with her to calm her down - hope it works. They're all people-friendly since I've had visitors play with them and they have no fear of us. In fact, we have to be careful where we step because they weave in-and-out of our feet.

It's rare to see these Doms at rest so had to take this photo before they rushed me:
