Fancy Leghorn breeders actually use ties on their legs...for photos.
So a leg band with strings, and you tie the strings to a stick...or hold the strings...
You still have to train the bird to not panic when it finds itself tied down... but then you can place the bird where you want...with a clean or pretty background, and snap the photo without the bird wandering off.
Ha! So I guess I did have a pointer!
Just a couple of weeks back saw a cool leghorn photo...guy outside with great background sitting in a lazy boy recliner. He had 4 or 6 stunning white leghorn roosters all around him on the chair... so 2 on the back, either side of his head, and 1 or 2 on either arm of the chair.
I looked closely...and yep, they all had little ties on a leg.
