Salt is the darker one. She was lighter chested than Pepper as a chick, lol. Both had similar looking head spots.

Salt looks like a pullet.

Watch Pepper.

Both are very pretty but Salt is a keeper for sure!!
Good! Pepper seems waaay more like a roo. He watches over everyone, and stands up tall when someone comes over to the coop. He is super laid back though. So sweet, and he loves to cuddle. I can't have a roo, hopefully someone will fall in love with him like I have.
I hope Salt is a girl, Dominiques are the best.

Does the shade of their barring matter a lot? I've heard it is lighter in males. Pepper has lighter barring, as you can see.
