I have ten hens that were hatched in April of this year. Three Dominiques, three Silver Laced Wyandottes, three Buffs, and an Americauna. This morning I went out to feed and saw one of my Dominques has this going on with her neck and head. These are my first Chickens ever so I if it is an issue I want to get it under control before it effects any of the others. From what I have read they are kind of young to be molting. They have more space than what is recommended for a coop or run. No changes in diet. They all seem to be laying well.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks for your help.

If she's not molting then she could have got her head stuck. I do see new feathers starting to come in around her neck, though. She does appear to be very healthy.
