Hi there,

I got a 4 yr old breeding pair of Reeves about 2 weeks ago. Just wondering if the change of ownership was too late in the season and they wont lay/breed this year? So far they are still very upset with me and I made peace with the thought that they are taking this year off but a little voice in the back of my head keeps wondering if they may still breed after all?

My first time having Reeves and got them quite unexpectantly. Been looking for some for 2 yrs now(either breeders were sold out or totally overpriced) and quit looking and there they were.... go figure.

Thanks in advance,
Anna

Hopefully you will still be able to get at least a few eggs this year being that far north. Two of my hens recently decided to quit laying and sit on the couple eggs they had in their nests (I added a few more for them

) But I have another hen that is still laying, and it has been fairly cool, so she may lay for a while longer.
