Geez! ... I think my dog would just run away and hide, he's such a wimp. My mum used to work at a large riding stable, she'd turn out and turn in all 45 horses, all of which were vastly underfed, we also boarded our two horses there, Pal (HaflingerXBelgian who is now about 24) and Smoothie (Too Smooth To Move, Thoroughbred X-racer/X-broodmare..now sold to a hunter jumper family and doing great on A-circuit). Anyway, one day the horses were crowding the teeny tiny 4ft gate at the top of the paddock on a very cold day, my mum went to open the gate to pull one out to bring it in for dinner and the biggest .. Madarin a 17.3HH Hanovarian charged the gate with a few of the other big brutes, when my horse Pal stepped in front of them blocking their way, he would let one or two horses out under his head at a time and basically saved my mum's life by standing there. Pal is only 15HH and he stood up against some pretty big and powerful horses in a very icey field.
