Dong Tao or Ga Ho

    I don't believe so. You may could find them deep in the Asian culture, but then the odds of getting one is very slim.

    It appears the majority of native Vietnamese are unaware of these chickens. That is how rare they are. Since that article was written their survival is even more critical. There are none in the US. I did pick up a little Vietnamese when I was over there in '69 and was reading through some of their forums. I can tell you that the NVA did more damage to the native animal population (wild and domestic) than the French and Americans did. They hid out in villages and when they left, destroyed everything, leaving behind dead and dying animals.

    I saw these in a couple of threads, but not much info on them. So I searched to find more. That is the first pic of a hen that I've seen.

    I know this is an old thread but I would like to revive it in hopes maybe this breed has been imported.

    I am asking the USDA for procedure and permit to import this breed to the US. I hope it will be soon we will have them here. Your feedback is very important and helpful. Thank you.
