Donkey vs. Llama for guarding livestock???

I’ve just inherited these wonderful critters, they all seem to get along beautifully!

I should probably add that I’m just now discovering “guardian animals”, but I’m very excited! Before I found this thread, I couldn’t understand why all the chickens at my new place had not been eaten; a good sneeze would have leveled their coop. Not to mention the gaps around the door you could toss a cat through! In 30 years though, the previous owner had only lost a couple of chickens to animals, and they were domestic dogs. Of course I’m going to improve the existing coop (and fences!), I’m just amazed at how well guardian animals work! ♥️

I have seen donkeys do an excellent job with goats. However, the donkey needs to be raised with them otherwise he will chase them or try to kill them.
