Don't ask your elderly father what he wants for Christmas.....

My Dad loves those too.

They don't last for long in the Florida heat, but every year at Easter my sister takes a package of marshmallow peeps out to my mom's gravesite. I always meant to buy a pack and replace them with clay replicas.

Gritsar, your Dad is a hoot. You have written about him before, you are blessed to have him. Ok, so you want to go beyond Old Spice this year, but there comes a point in life where we have everything we need and a lot of stuff we don't need. Look around for a family having a hard time and buy something for them or their kids for Christmas. Tell them it is from your Dad and take him with you to deliver the presents. Tell him it is in his honor because he is an awesome Dad and has provided you with a good example in life to follow.

If I remember correctly, they strongly resemble "clay replicas" if you leave them out long enough.

I lost my father 3 years ago to lung cancer, the first Christmas after he passed, I got an email that said I had a voicemail from my parents number (I had my voicemail set so that all messages would be sent to my email as a MP3), it was a voicemail from my father that he had sent to me months earlier while he was receiving treatment. It was the strangest thing and I will always cherish that voicemail, I am sure you will always cherish the recordings of your mother and father singing. God Bless you and your family through this difficult time.
