Here are my four hens. They are 4 months old. The dark red one (no name yet) has not started laying eggs. The light red hen in the front (Star), laid the middle egg. The other light red hen (Ginger), laid the bigger egg. The black hen (Condoleezza) laid the little tan colored egg. The black hen is the leader, takes forever to lay an egg, and hogs up the food.

Two red sexlinks (red with white), a Rhode Island Red (darker red), and a Barred Rock (the black with white).
 
Average age that pullets start laying is around 20 to 25 weeks of age. Depends on several factors though. Starting layer feed too soon can actually extend that to 30 weeks or more.
Thank you. I just started the layer feed 2 weeks ago. I will be watching for her to lay. :)
 
not real sure of the age but am thinking about 5-6 weeks. Can you tell if I have a roo or pullet yet?? EE/RIR
